Why Are There Multiple Uniforms at NDA?
NDA cadets undergo rigorous training, ceremonial functions, and academic classes, each requiring a specific dress code. The academy follows a structured dress order system, ensuring that cadets maintain a sharp and disciplined appearance at all times.
Let’s dive into the different uniforms worn by NDA cadets!
Types of NDA Uniforms
1. Ceremonial Uniforms
These uniforms are worn during official ceremonies, parades, and formal events.
-
Dress No. 1 & 1A (Blue Patrol Uniform)
- This is a favorite among cadets and is worn during winter ceremonial functions, including the Passing Out Parade (POP).

- Sixth-term cadets pass on their buttons to juniors, continuing a long-standing tradition.
-
Dress No. 2 & 2A (White Ceremonial Dress)

These uniforms are worn when cadets are off-duty or going out for leisure.
